Polycab HT XLPE Cables
POLYCAB HT XLPE cables are manufactured at modern facilities in Daman and Halol (Gujarat). The manufacture of HV XLPE cables requires great care and precision at every stage of processing. Since HV cables operate under high electric stress, the extruded insulation must be extremely clean, free of contamination, voids, or imperfections, with a smooth screen interface.
Manufacturing Process
The cable core is produced by triple extrusion and cross-linking in a fully enclosed process. The inner semi-conducting screen, XLPE insulation, and outer semi-conducting screen are applied simultaneously to the pre-heated conductor. Specialized in-line inspection with X-rays ensures dimensional accuracy of the extruded core.
